OpenAI has quietly changed its list of "core values" to include Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), which was previously not explicitly listed.

Of the five new Core Values, "AGI focus" is in the first place, with OpenAI's official website stating: "We are committed to building safe, beneficial AGI that will have a massive positive impact on humanity’s future. Anything that doesn’t help with that is out of scope.

The remaining four values are intense and scrappy, scale, make something people love and team spirit.

2. Adobe Unveils Three New Generative AI Models and Major Updates to Creative Cloud

In a significant announcement last week, Adobe introduced three major additions to its Adobe Firefly family of creative generative AI models. The new models include the Adobe Firefly Image 2 Model, the Adobe Firefly Vector Model, and the Adobe Firefly Design Model.

Alongside these AI models, Adobe also revealed more than 100 substantial innovations and updates to its Creative Cloud suite of creative applications. The updates span across a range of Adobe software, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Stock.

3. Character.AI Launches Chatbot Group Chat Feature

According to TechCrunch, AI startup Character.AI has launched a new feature that offers a group chat experience, allowing users to create group chats with AI characters and mix human and AI companions. Character. AI suggests that users can try chats with AI characters like Albert Einstein, Madame Curie, and Stephen Hawking, or create a group chat that includes gods like Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon.

The feature is being offered first to subscribers of C.ai+, the company's $9.99 per month subscription plan, to get feedback and make improvements. character.AI says it will open the feature to the public later.

4. US Electric Vehicle Sales Surge Past 300k in Q3, Tesla Slows Down Amid Anticipation of Cybertruck Release

According to data from Kelley Blue Book, electric vehicle (EV) sales in the United States reached an all-time high with more than 300,000 units sold in the third quarter. Total EV sales for the year through September have reached 873,100 units, and industry experts predict that sales will surpass the one million mark by November.

However, Tesla's market share in the electric vehicle (EV) segment continues to decline, falling from 62% in Q1 to a record low of 50% in Q3.

Tesla's sales momentum slowed as the automaker suspended production at its factories for factory upgrades and to prepare for the release of the market's long-awaited Cybertruck pickup truck.
