1. Musk's xAI unveils “Grok”: an AI chatbot ‘with a rebellious streak’
Elon Musk has unveiled Grok, an artificial intelligence chatbot with a “rebellious streak”. The new product from his artificial intelligence startup, xAI, is “modeled after the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and “It will also answer spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems,” xAI said in a blog post announcing the launch on Saturday night.
Grok also has access to data from X, which xAI said will give it an edge. Musk said Grok, which is in early testing and not available to the general public, will eventually be released to subscribers of X's top subscription service, Premium+.
2. Google's rolls out Generative AI E-commerce Tool “Product Studio”
Google officially launched Product Studio, a generative AI product image tool, today, opening it up to all Merchant Center Next subscribers in the U.S., as well as Google and YouTube apps on Shopify, TechCrunch reports. Merchants and advertisers can use Product Studio's AI capabilities to create new product images for free by typing in prompts, as well as improve low-quality images without having to reshoot or remove distracting backgrounds. The feature was reportedly announced at Google's Marketing Live event in May this year.

On November 1, at the Automotive Intelligence Forum of the 2023 Yunqi Conference, Aliyun released an "exclusive cloud for automatic driving" that can provide flexible solutions. 4. Aurora opens first commercial route for driverless trucks: Dallas-to-Houston
Aurora Innovation announced it has opened the industry’s first lane for driverless trucks supported by commercial-ready terminals in Dallas and Houston.
The company announced that its Houston terminal is ready to receive driverless trucks, just like its Dallas terminal, which launched in April 2023. The Houston terminal is located near the company’s pilot customers. Aurora’s fleet is supported by an operational command center, which includes remote workers to guide the truck.
5. 28 Countries and EU Sign Bletchley Declaration at AI Safety Summit
According to Reuters, the UK hosted the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Safety Summit at Bletchley Park on November 1-2 local time. At the meeting, 28 countries, including China, the United States, and the European Union, signed the Bletchley Declaration, committing to design, develop, deploy, and use AI in a safe, human-centered, trustworthy, and responsible manner.The declaration focuses on two areas: first, identifying AI safety risks of common concern and establishing a shared scientific and evidence-based understanding of those risks; second, countries developing their own risk-based policies to ensure the safety of such risks, and cooperating where appropriate.
